Harp Start is the foremost educational outreach program of the USA International Harp Competition, bringing interactive harp performances and music education to schools, libraries, retirement communities, healthcare venues, service clubs, and other organizations throughout Indiana. Through engaging presentations featuring a concert grand pedal harp, audiences of all ages learn about the science of music, as well as the harp’s history and repertoire. Often, attendees experience the instrument up close for the very first time. Harp Start reflects USAIHC’s commitment to expand access to arts education and inspire lifelong appreciation for music.
